Thanksgiving Honey Baked Ham

COOKING LEVEL: noob beginner standard

A simple mix-and-marinate recipe. The oven does all the work.


Total Cooking Time: 3 hr.


INGREDIENTS

  • 1 half-spiral ham, fully cooked and smoked

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp dijon mustard

  • 1/3 cup honey

  • 1 cup of water


  1. Remove any extra oven racks so you have room for a whole ham. You only need one.

  2. Preheat oven to 325F.

  3. Prepare a big enough pan to fit your ham. Line with tin foil or cooking spray.

  4. Remove all plastic and caps from store bought ham.

  5. Place the ham flat side down into the prepared pan.

  6. In a small bowl. combine all seasonings + butter.

  7. Massage the seasoning all over the ham.

  8. Pour the water into the bottom of the pan.

  9. Cover the entire ham and pan with foil.

  10. Bake for 2 hr. 20 min. (use the 20min/lb to estimate total cooking time)

  11. Turn off oven. DO NOT remove the foil.

  12. Cool your ham still covered for 15-20 min.

  13. Serve with the rest of your thanksgiving meal.
