COOKING LEVEL: noob beginner standard

All you need to do is mix and refrigerate! The hardest part about this recipe is finding a Korean grocery store that sells dried squid.

Total Cooking Time: 15min.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb dried squid

  • 6 tbsp red pepper paste (gochujang)

  • 5 tbsp honey

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • 2 tsp garlic powder

  • sesame seeds

  • salt

  1. Cut squid to desired length, usually 2-3 inch strings. Add to tupperware.

  2. In a small bowl, whisk all sauce ingredients till combined.

  3. Add salt while tasting till satisfied.

  4. Using your hands, mix the marination into squid.

  5. Once the squid is completely orange-red, sprinkle sesame seeds on top.

  6. Refrigerate tupperware for at least an hour before eating.

Recipe Notes:

This sweet and spicy squid side dish is a Korean staple. Enjoy it with a meaty meal or as a simple snack over rice.
