COOKING LEVEL: noob beginner standard
All you need to do is mix and refrigerate! The hardest part about this recipe is finding a Korean grocery store that sells dried squid.
Total Cooking Time: 15min.
INGREDIENTS
1 lb dried squid
6 tbsp red pepper paste (gochujang)
5 tbsp honey
1 tbsp sesame oil
2 tsp garlic powder
sesame seeds
salt
Cut squid to desired length, usually 2-3 inch strings. Add to tupperware.
In a small bowl, whisk all sauce ingredients till combined.
Add salt while tasting till satisfied.
Using your hands, mix the marination into squid.
Once the squid is completely orange-red, sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
Refrigerate tupperware for at least an hour before eating.
Recipe Notes:
This sweet and spicy squid side dish is a Korean staple. Enjoy it with a meaty meal or as a simple snack over rice.
